Position Summary: Successful candidates for National Sales Manager will have in-depth understanding, proven experience both leading and selling, advisor relationships in the independent community and be knowledgeable of key competitors in the marketplace. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business within all territories through both personal production and leadership of External and Internal Advisor Growth Strategists (wholesalers) assigned to territories. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve asset and revenue goals. Location: Open for National Candidates Position with travel to Omaha Headquarters when necessary Position with travel Nationally regularly Compensation: Base Salary, plus performance based compensation Highly competitive benefits package [medical, dental, vision, disability] HSA match [if participation in high balance benefits plan] 401k match Job Duties: Select, develop, and coach a professional sales team to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth. Personally produce in territory of residence. Develop and implement annual sales plans by territory. Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to customer's decision-makers at all levels. Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts. Pursue identified prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities. Collaborate with marketing resources and the sales leadership team to define overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business. Apply research insights and to provide compelling advertising solutions based on the company's business strengths. Coach Advisor Growth Strategists to build effective staff relationships that enable them to respond quickly to emerging customer opportunities, and provide for seamless execution of the company's business processes that exceed customer expectations. Encourage and requires high level teaming and collaboration skills to gain the committed and motivated efforts of the company's staff who do not report directly to the National Sales. Establish a planned program for sales coaching, working with sales team on all aspects of the sales process. Makes coaching sales calls with sales team to provide feedback, and to assist with large opportunities. Travels extensively to meet customers and to coach in the field. Position and differentiate CIA by educating advisors on CIA's commitment to value added strategic partnership, exceptional service and transparency. Responsible for marketing CIA, strategies and services to prospects, referrals, existing relationships and integrating to CIA Identify large Alliance Partner opportunities. Provide analysis of prospects current business and identify solutions available through CIA. Build relationships with lead advisors, associate wealth advisors and operations staff while integrating offices to CIA. Become educated in practices of Peak Advisor Alliance and "Tested In the Trenches." Present at seminars and training sessions. Attend industry events, conferences and other events in which Ron Carson, CIA or Peak Advisor Alliance is speaking. Participate in daily morning advisor meetings, training, and continuing education requirements. Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base. Qualifications: 5+ years experience as National Sales Manager or equivalent in the financial services industry required. FINRA series 7, 66 and 65 licensed. CFP , CFA or CIMA designated preferred. Clean U-4 and U-5 history. Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred. Must have demonstrated track record of leading and achieving sales objectives. Strong organizational skills to manage sales and on boarding process to CIA. Thorough knowledge of industry. Must be able to work independently and remotely. Proven ability to present to large and small groups effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
