Business Development Consultant A Peak Advisor Alliance Business Development Consultant is outgoing, motivated, energetic, and competitive. They should love selling, work well with others (we have a very dynamic sales team), and must have great follow-up and interpersonal skills. In addition, current successful Business Development Consultants are persistent, disciplined, self-directed, have demonstrated success in competitive arenas, and are not afraid to introduce themselves to a crowd or pick up a phone to make calls. The Business Development Consultant will: Follow up with leads generated by client referrals, our workshops, speaking engagements, conference calls, webinars, partner relationships, website opt-ins and e-mail campaigns. Manage the sales and activity goals in an assigned territory of prospective clients. Sell our membership programs primarily via phone and also at speaking engagements, webinars and conferences (some overnight travel may apply). Ideal qualifications for this position include: Three to five years of successful and verifiable sales experience or equivalent track record (consistently in the top 20% of production in prior sales positions) Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (enthusiastic, articulate, confident, adaptable) and the ability to build successful client relationships. Excellent attitude, organizational and time management skills. Understanding of the sales and marketing process. A strong interest in the financial services industry (financial industry experience preferred). A relentless burning desire to succeed.
