CIA Multimedia and Graphic Design Specialist

Position Overview The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and deliver multimedia materials in novel forms by producing vibrant, dynamic, new multimedia enterprises in alignment with business initiatives. Duties include assisting the Marketing department in creating presentations, marketing materials, photography, videography, animated graphics, sound and social media initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of both creativity and technical skills, and must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Job Duties/Tasks: This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following: Web-based Video/Audio Production - Performs technical duties in the production of web-based video and audio projects, CDs/DVDs, video streaming and other field and studio video and audio productions; records, edits and uploads voiceover files; manages media bandwidth to stream video for optimum distribution in online products; operates non-linear video and audio editing equipment including edit controllers, video cameras, hard disk video recorders, digital video storage devices and audio mixers; edits special effects, composition and design of video and audio productions; edits and manipulates photos; maintains and organizes production file archives. Graphic Design - Designs graphics for presentations, animation videos, collateral layouts, logos, etc. using graphic design software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Professional). Instrumental in rebranding marketing material for Carson Institutional partners by identifying logo color palette (PMS/CMYK) and incorporating into documents and updating logos by doing a refresh on current logo designs and concepts. Provides final design files to print vendors and conducts press checks, when necessary. Web Application Development/Design - Designs and develops multimedia-based layouts, motion graphics, animation, video, sound and/or content for use in presentations, video productions, multimedia programs, websites, and other electronic media; works with Marketing to review and recommend design options, functionality, and programming needs; develops layout design and concept, selects and secures appropriate illustrative materials to be used; writes complex application code to create engaging animations using Flash; ensures consistency, accuracy and compliance with required standards; conducts cross-platform testing with common browsers and Internet connection speeds. Required Skills Bachelor degree in graphic arts or related field or equivalent professional work experience. 1-3 years of experience creating multi-media documents, designs and presentations. Produce static images, video and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Studio Suite, Apple Motion, etc. Skill in using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Professional). Design and create motion graphics for video deliverables including corporate videos, eLearning, websites, marketing demos, etc. Experience with compositing, key-framing, title design, and visual effects. Strong design skills. Edit raw video footage and add effects or elements to enhance motion graphics. Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest graphic design techniques, technology, trends, and best practices as appropriate to current projects. Perform post-production work including editing, color correcting, and background creation. Strong creative skills combined with knowledge of design software and programming languages. Ability to communicate with co-workers, customers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and manage multiple competing priorities. Knowledge of needs assessment methods to determine business unit needs and develop products to meet those needs. Knowledge of storytelling tools, including graphics, sound, video and animation programs. Skill in clear and effective verbal and written communications. Skill in operating personal computer and strong knowledge of various software packages (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Mac-based programs, etc.) Skill in strong work/project organization and planning. Skill in using graphic design software such as Flash, Final Cut Pro, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, Dreamweaver, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Fireworks and various video and sound editing programs. Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects with daily tight deadlines. Willingness to adapt and amazing attention to detail and organization. Ability to work well under pressure and is a solid problem solver. Willingness to work individually as well as part of a team. Desirable Skills Understanding of the Financial Services Industry.
