Reports To: Chief Compliance Officer

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze sales literature, marketing materials and general communications with the public for Carson Institutional Alliance (CIA). Materials subject to review include, but are not limited to, the following either pre use or post use review:
    • Print: market commentary, fact sheets, articles, press releases, brochures, invitations, flyers, seminars/presentations, etc. , and,
    • Audio, video, radio shows, television, and internet content including social media
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with each owner to make revisions needed to approve marketing item/communication for distribution. 
  • Process ad review request, changes and approvals through Salesforce case system.
  • Submit marketing and advertising materials through Compliance Max our firm’s clearing broker dealer, LPL, as the Hybrid RIA model requires.  Facilitate communications between Marketing and LPL or Partner submissions and LPL. Approves materials as a principal on behalf of LPL at the CIA location.
  • Assist in developing strong internal controls and internal procedures for areas requiring a higher level of ongoing monitoring such as radio shows and social media presence.
  • Promptly communicate ad review procedural revisions and updates.
  • Manage workflow received from multiple firm owners to meet expected turnaround timeframes.
 
Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; Strong editorial and negotiating skills;
  • Sound knowledge of FINRA and SEC regulations addressing marketing and advertising    communications for investment product offerings and services related to RIA and broker dealer;
  • Previous advertising/marketing/promotional review experience;
  • Experience in performance reporting marketing materials
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize responsibilities and produce results within a deadline intensive environment; Rush reviews are critical.
  • Ability to balance the business objectives of the marketing clients and the industry and regulatory environment;
  • Ability to review complex advertising materials, clearly communicate required edits and corresponding regulatory framework, and
  • Series 7 and Series 24 registered required.
